Shraddha takes the HIV awareness messages to the grass-root level

KSACS Project Director Dr. R Ramesh inaugurated the one-day training program for Anganwadi workers organized as part of ‘Shraddha’, which an ongoing yearly HIV Awareness Training Program aimed at Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Palakkad districts in Kerala.  



The year’s training got kicked off in Thrissur district. More programs will be held in the coming days targeting other two districts. Besides Anganwadi workers, this capacity building program will be extended to Kudumbasree workers, primary Health workers and so on, so as to reach a larger cross-section of the society. 

Last year, Shraddha was mainly media-oriented propaganda whereas this year, KSACS is making it more of a mainstream activity oriented program. Around 2500 Anganwadi workers will be trained by Health Supervisors and CDPOs who were already given ToT by KSACS.
